WFS eNews

With warm weather arriving, it is almost time for eNews to take its annual summer hiatus. But while eNews is taking a beach break, our case studies this month prove that the financial industry is not. The insurer Esurance is moving full speed ahead with a new application life-cycle management system that is helping it bring new products to market 20 percent faster. In the UK, Sector Treasury Services is putting more resources at clients’ fingertips by adding the STN Money Market Portal from Microsoft Gold Certified provider SunGard. In banking, The Four County Bank in Georgia is cutting processing times while simultaneously controlling costs, with a new Windows-based processing platform that leverages existing hardware. Meanwhile, our contributed articles this month include both a Focus on Architecture that looks at a method called AQM for qualifying architecture decisions, and a mobility article that includes some of the latest news in mobile technology. In fact, the mobility article is a preview of a new release slated for fall. There are some business applications already underway for this new release, so expect more details of it when we return in September. Have a happy summer.
